The insurance industry began to market more investment products and FS formed its own unit trust company. The Balanced Growth Fund was one of the first unit trusts to be launched by the company and remains in our unit trust range today.
1899
The roots of the company can be traced back to The Foreman and Staff Mutual Benefit Society, a small friendly society formed at the turn of the century. Following a series of mergers, the company eventually became FS Assurance, mainly operating within Glasgow's engineering industry.
